Ever since my Cousin Al Lisdahl wrote his remembrances of his Army days, I have thought that I should do something similar. But of course, it cannot be similar since I never served in Viet Nam, was not in the Medical Corps, was never in harms way, nor witnessed the things that Al had to witness. I am so grateful (hardly as grateful as Al, Carol Jean, Greta, and Krista) that Al came back whole from Viet Nam. My story is in no way comparable except that we both were in the U.S. Army.
